Two ways to use your black seed oil
🍽️ In the kitchen
1 teaspoon a day – neat on an empty stomach, in yoghurt, or over salad (don't heat). Spicier than olive oil, with a peppery-nutty character. Pairs with tomato-mozzarella, lentils and roasted carrots.
🧴 In skincare
2–3 drops in the evening dabbed onto cleansed skin or blended with sweet almond/jojoba oil 1:3. Also a hair mask (1 tbsp into damp hair, 30 min. on). Always patch-test on inner elbow before first use.
🌸 The classic for pollen season
In folk medicine tradition, black seed oil has been a familiar companion through spring for generations. Many start 6–8 weeks before the expected pollen flow with a daily teaspoon – neat or in yoghurt.

2,000 years of tradition
Black seed was found in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, described by Hippocrates and mentioned in the 7th century in a Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad as a precious household remedy. In the Arab world the seed is called Habbatus Sauda – the seed of blessing.
Today black seed oil is found in kitchens from the Mediterranean to South Asia – as a culinary specialty and a traditional companion in family life. Viworo selects with care, cold-pressed from natural seeds, in organic quality.

Frequently asked questions
🥄 How much per day?
Traditionally 1 teaspoon a day, usually in the morning on an empty stomach. More details and a getting-used-to-it plan in our guide.
🌸 When do I start before pollen season?
In traditional use, 6–8 weeks before the expected pollen flow. Black seed oil is a food and does not replace medical treatment – with diagnosed allergy, please talk to your doctor.
🧴 Can I apply it neat to skin?
On sensitive skin, better not – blend with our Organic Sweet Almond Oil or Jojoba Oil 1:3. Always do a patch test on the inner elbow first.
😬 What does it actually taste like?
Peppery, spicy, slightly bitter with a nutty finish. Surprising on the first try, suddenly enjoyable by the third. Tip: chase with honey or apple juice to soften.
🤰 Pregnancy, children?
During pregnancy, breastfeeding and for children, talk to your midwife or doctor before internal use. As a culinary spiced oil in small amounts it's a widespread tradition.
