Lava Stone Diffuser — scent without electricity
A porous volcanic stone in a wooden ring. A few drops of your essential oil, and the room stays scented for 10–24 hours, depending on the oil.
Why it works
- No power, no water: no cable, no tank to refill, no noise. The stone does it on its own.
- The pores do the work: volcanic rock is full of fine pores. It absorbs the oil and releases it slowly — without any heat.
- Made for small spaces: as a guideline, rooms up to about 5 m² — bathroom, wardrobe, bedside table, desk.
- Refreshed in a second: when the scent fades, simply add new drops. The stone stays, the oil is renewed.
- Dimensions: 80 mm diameter, 25 mm height — fits anywhere, even on a narrow shelf.
How to use it
- Add 3–5 drops of essential oil to the stone.
- Wait a minute: the stone draws the oil in and the surface feels dry again.
- Place the diffuser wherever you want the scent. Add fresh drops once it fades.
Citrus scents fade faster, woods and resins last longer. All drop guidelines are in our dosage guide.

Changing the scent
The stone keeps the previous scent for a while. To switch, leave it in fresh air for a day — the smell fades on its own. If you change often, simply keep one stone per scent family.
Care
Do not wash it with soap and water: soap seals the pores and the stone loses its absorbency. Over time it darkens where the oil lands — that is normal and does not affect how it works.
Frequently asked questions
Which oils can I use?
All of our essential oils. Use the neat oil, not diluted in a carrier — a fatty oil would sit on the surface instead of soaking into the pores.
How long does the scent last?
It depends on the oil and the room. In a small, closed room it lasts longer than in an airy hallway. As an order of magnitude: 10–24 hours per application, depending on the oil.
Does the stone wear out?
No. Lava stone is not used up — it is simply recharged with new drops.
Does it work as a gift?
Yes, especially together with an essential oil — then the recipient has everything they need.
