The weekly market in Brixen
Brixen's weekly market is held every Monday in the old town – on Prielplatz and Hartmannplatz and in Albuingasse and Trattengasse. From mid-March to the end of October it starts at 7:30am, in winter at 8:00am, and runs until 1:30pm.
The stalls sell clothing, shoes and handbags, plus food and goods from the surrounding area. The market sits in the middle of the historic centre, right next to the cathedral square and the arcades.
So if you are in Brixen or the Eisack Valley, Monday morning is worth it twice over: market and old town in one go.
When we are there
We are there from 8am to 12pm – the market itself runs until 1:30pm. So come in the morning.

We are there on most Mondays. When we are at an annual market or a fair at the same time, we are not in Brixen. These Mondays:

How to find our stall
We are in Trattengasse, right in front of the La Cantinota restaurant. Look for the large green gazebos with our logo. Coming from Prielplatz, just walk into the lane.
Getting there and parking
Good to know: Brixen's old town is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL). You may not drive in without a permit – park outside and walk the last few minutes.
Your options:
- Central car park on Dante-Alighieri-Straße – an underground garage on five levels; the lift puts you at the cathedral square in under five minutes.
- Priel car park by the Acquarena – about three minutes on foot through Altenmarktgasse.
- Sports zone south of town.
A parking guidance system shows you free spaces in real time on the approach roads. If you come by train, the old town is a few minutes from the station.

Viworo is a family business from Lana, since 1989. We stand at the stall ourselves, so you talk to the people who actually source the oils.
